low sm2 scores in 3dmark06 with two 4870s

I am trying to figure out why my two 4870s are only getting around 6100 sm2 score in 3dmark06. I don't understand why they would be this low. any suggestions?

Does it really matter? I mean it's just a number, did you notice improvement in games with 2 4870s?
