Too right mate. I remember in 1994 being happy with a Amiga 1200 with a 810mb 2.5" HDD and a motorola 68030 CPU (40mhz I think) and 16MB "FAST RAM" + 2MB "CHIP RAM". Those where the days. Wish I still had it to be honest.

You could probably print them onto stickers if you had the image...

awesome to see people take stuff like this apart lol. I been doing alot of that lately to make a few bucks or fix things so i can get them cheaper or have a paper weight lol. Anyway only replacement parts i have found (when i had my snes collection) were the slot for the cartridges and stuff. Anyway now you can buy brand new super nintedo's

http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=79&cat=SNES+Systems

its been a long long time tho since i messed with this stuff. Anyway snes = greatest system ever made period

I'd look on a ebay to get an idea of value. I wouldn't expect much at all unless you have a large collection of games to go with them. Wish I still had my Amiga's, Thier selling for a small fortune now!!

well i got my game bit tool in the mail today and started taking apart my snes games to clean the contacts and the carts themselfs and let me tell ya most of them are very nasty, and after a good scrubbing with a toothbrush and some liquid soap the carts look great, though when i took apart my super mario all stars game it was so dirty and the contacts are so dirty and seem to be messed up i dont know if it can be fixed

top one is a SuperFamicom, japanese version of the SuperNES, i am not sure if the european models got that one.
some times europe got the japanese model under a different name or the us model under the same name, its hard to keep straight what they got from system to system.

whats interesting is my US version SNES doesent have that box in the seccond pic (sound module) some of my spares may though, hmm

the reason why from what i have found through my research is that its the first us model released and then later they changed it to the one you have and they also made changes to the plastic shell that everything is in to a better plastic or something like that, but i still need to clean the contacts in the machine so my games will work first try, havent figured it out yet but i will

I think I've seen several in the classifieds, but there does not seem to be much demand for them.

5?

Crude calculations came up with about 120 times more powerful for me for a 32bit ARM 400Mhz vs the Motorolla CPU in the SNES. Theoretical, mind you. real world probably about 90? SNES is the most indestructible piece of hardware ever made though. Flawless design, quality components. I know of more than one unit that has fallen down stairs, out a window, been abused, had things spilled on it, still works after 19 years.
