i know that every chip is slightly different - but how far have you guys pushed your 285?

i was gonna get a gtx275 but thought, what the heck, i'll get a gtx285 - i'll be playing on 24" native resolution so the extra fps will be needed.

thanks

It means a base model, not factory overclocked. 648/1476/1242.

Could be wrong, but I don't think you're going to see any real overclocking difference between the 275 and 285.

Yea I believe in terms of overclocking its about the same, the 285 just has a lot more memory than the 275.

You mean an extra ~100mb of memory?

More memory (1024MB vs. 896MB)and wider pipe (512-bit vs. 448-bit) for increased bandwidth.

It does make a difference in performance, but it's not incredibly significant.
