Making Vista x64 works without clean installation

I'm updating from Abit IP35 PRO to Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P. I do not have a time to clean install Vista x64. Could anyone instruct me so that I'll not have an issue logging into x64?

I know how you feel. Vista updates are on the big side.

Takes a while to download, especially Microsoft requiring you to install Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 separately, thus, you're required to download both! :temper:

Takes me about 2 days to finish it all. I always fall asleep lol

But from what I've read before on here, its not possible.
