hi all - ive got an asus p5q deluxe - it has asus dual bios chip which i think works like this....if you take ur OC too far, and it fails to boot, the 2nd bios chip will boot the mobo and copy the bios onto the 1st chip, the 2nd bios chip cant be changed only the 2nd can - eg an update...

have any of you whitnessed the dual bios in action- or has it helped you??

I have had dual bios on a couple of boards in the past.

First was an addin chip with a switch that let me select what bios I wanted.
Second was on a gigabyte board. Never really used either very much.

Were a couple of times I OCed too far and had to boot from the second bios on the first board, but that was many years ago when bios's were more prone to dying from OCing.
