hi all

ive noticed my mobo will take 1200mhz ddr2 ram, pc2 9600...

have any of you tried it - its just that you dont hear of 1200MHz ddr2 as much as 1066Mhz

Running it right now, bought some OCZ platinum low voltage ddr2-1000 that is actually EPP'd at 1110, and runs very nicely at 1200-5-5-5-15 at 1.8volts.

I ran my DDR2 800 @ 1047 on this mobo. but its nealry the highest my mem can go ... and i dont want to push over 2.1volt into it. She can take it but i just want to stay safe !

My ram is G-Skill Pi-Black ddr2 800 rated for 1.8-1.9 4-4-4-12. currently running 900 still 4-4-4-12. 1047mhz was with 2.06 volts quick test.

I did yes on a P5Q Deluxe. It likes that better then 1:1 for 500FSB and stability (for a 45nm quad).

I also heard that the 400 strap is borked and to use the 333 strap.

Note there isnt really a point to run it that fast as it doesnt improve much beyond synthetic benches.

I tried using the 400fsb strap at around 340 three different times, none of them were willing to even attempt POST. Given that, i have to concur that 400 strap has plenty of fail.

I've had the OCZ ram up to 1240 on the p5q pro, but haven't spent much time at it.
It wouldn't buy 1300 at stock volts, which is hardly surprising :p

no...i mean there is ddr2 called pc2 9600 which you buy at 1200Mhz, ocz blade 1200MHz ddr2 is one of them - thats what i mean.
