Anybody know what ICs these Mushkin 996587 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146731&Tpk=996587) use?
I was thinking to buy these to go with my GSkill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=162127)
Thanks

Well, I'm not pushing my memory too much, so I don't need high speed, infact my Gskills are only at 380Mhz 4-4-4-15.... These Mushkins are on sale locally, I may get them to go with my Gkills, just concerning if they have the same ICs or rather if they run well together in dual channel.

Not the exact model # but it's the same RAM. The set you listed is HP2(high performance DDR2) mid end Mushkin.
Screencap from here (http://ramlist.i4memory.com/ddr2/).

You didn't tell us you already had some RAM.

The Mushkins and GSkill are Powerchips.

That would explain the different model number. Regardless, the IC's will very likely be the same. Most likely the Powerchips and not the Microns.
Much the same as all of the DDR3 Mushkins tend to use the same Elpida chips.
