No ****... guess I'm buying the 10 pack. There's a few games on there I'd love to have. Darwinia, Braid, Audiosurf come to mind specifically. I already have world of goo so a bit of a loss there. If I could gift it I would.

Yeah, that's an annoyance with Steam's package deals. If you already own one or more of the titles in a package, they are essentially wasted. Keep that in mind when purchasing, hopefully they will change that at some point.

However, the price is so low on these packs, it is still probably worth it in many cases.

Actually all the games in the $30 pack look fun although I'd kind of like to be able to get just a few of them at $5 a pop. I meant to pick up some CoH games last weekend but forgot :(

And why won't it let you gift the extra copy of World of Goo? *Oh I see. My extra copy of HL2 from the Orange box is giftable  Is it just with these bundle deals then?

No idea, but it's just plain stupid if you ask me.

Yeah the Orange Box is the only bundle they let you gift duplicates of currently. Personally, I think they should change that rule. It just adds value to your purchase if you can gift duplicates to a friend and will likely grow the Steam user base if people are gifting more games to friends/family. Valve have always been very consumer friendly, I bet they will change it eventually, unless there is a reason I am not thinking of.

Personally I'd guess it has something to do with sending the gifts. They're gift system isn't all that great. I bought a series of gifts for my woman once and I had to resend the gift like 5 times for her to freaking get it.

I wonder if it's all valve or if the devs didn't opt to have gifting? Or a little of both?

Braid is a wonderful game, I've beaten it several times now and am still entranced by it. Also, if you have the 360 version of it, do know that there is level editor on this one and many people have made mods for braid already.

There's only a few games in the first bundle that I'd actually want and they go on sale regularly so I'll wait until they are on sale.

So for anyone who got one of these packs what do you think of the games?

I got the cheaper pack simply because I have Audiosurf already and don't want to shell out money on it again...

Audiosurf -fun little game, a lot like Dance Dance Revolution but with hands. Very addicting, worth $10 alone, imo.

Braid - puzzles are not my cup of tea but enjoying this. :) On world 3 now...

Everyday shooter - couldn't stop playing for 3 hours straight, hehe. Now that I've played the first few levels a few hundred times I don't really feel like playing it again.

World of Goo - played only the demo so far, a few months ago. Very fun game but there's too much room for error - for a puzzle type game. So you might not get everything perfect but still pass the level with no problem. Kind of ruins the fun.

As for the others, haven't played them yet.
