Richard Stallman has been doing spellcheck I see.

That aside, these netbooks are great throwing netbooks. Got someone you don't like? Throw the (net)book at them. Although they are a bit more expensive than throwing cellphones (See: prepaid 10$ cellphones), they do more before you toss them.

I'd pick one up but I'm broke as always. :rolleyes:

That one came up in a Woot-off AFTER I bought the black one minus webcam. The Woot-off after that brought the black version with the 1.6GHz Atom processor. I was kind of upset over that.

Ooh - a 900MHz Celeron M? Painful.

Very interesting for possibly running an ...um...alternative OS...if it could even run the OS I'm thinking of.

DSL? Sure thing!

Minimum Requirements for DSL with X-window

* 16mb ram (24mb recommended)
* dual-speed CDROM (quad-speed or better recommended)
* 1.44mb floppy drive (for boot floppy, if needed)

* a mouse (serial, ps/2, usb)

Once I reverted to the older Intel drivers under Ubuntu 9.04 NBR it's quite adequate for web browsing and stuff like that. Before I fixed that I had very slow menu animations although everything sped up when using an app.
