Ok so I noticed Microsoft pulled this game, amongst others from store shelves, and now they are available online, so I found a copy and bought it, (pc version)

I tried to load it last night, the dialog box for the execution file appeared and the load sequence initialized after windows asked me if its allowed, and the data bar reached full after a few minutes.

Then a decompression loading bar appeared and it took it about 20 minutes, this disc is like 7 gigabytes in total.

after the decompression, zoooooooooom, nada no desk top icon, no reboot, nothin.

for anyone out there with some proven knowledge, did Microsoft gay it up and make this an online downloadable only game for the pc???

if so is there a procedure for loading a hard copy where you have to call them or get some sort of activation?

be nice to be able to play a game you buy.

whats the scoop?

I highly doubt they would make it so you couldn't install it using the disk anymore. That would be ridiculous O.o

Although I don't know why it would just stop. Were was it decompressing to? I've never played/installed the game before, so I wouldn't have the slightest clue :p

I'm at work, when I get home I'll take another wack at it, just curious if any1 has had any trouble loading this game. the only copy gamestop had was in puerto rico! hey good excuse to make a trip down there :) as of a week ago anyways. also the loading was just before I had to leave for work, so I was able to investigate as much as I would like to have.

I'd just restart and try installing it again. No clue what that would do, but for whatever reason, that's what I'd do :D
