Hi all. I am new to this board and to watercooling. I plan to get my feet wet by going with a kit rather than buying the parts individually. I have read about a couple and would like to get ur opinion on them:

Petra'sTech CoolKit Elite - Rev.3

http://www.petrastechshop.com/pecoba.html

or

Swiftec Ultima

http://www.swiftnets.com/products/H20-220-APEX-ULTIMA.asp

Plan is to cool a i7 920 system. It will all go into the Antec 1200 case.

Also I plan to get the Sapphire Vapor X 4890. Will I need a seperate water block for the GPU?? Will the stock cooler on the card be enough to keep it cool. That particular brand had pretty good temps because of the vapor X cooling technology that Sapphire uses

Thanks in advance

Swiftech Ultima are good kit to start with. You can costumize it later on the road without issue. The petra's kit is similar but the Apogee GTZ gonna better suited for your I7.

If you add the GPU to the loop, youll need a GPU block and maybe a 3x120mm fan rad at least. but you dont "really" need to WC the GPU.

Either kit is solid to be honest.

To answer your question about 4890 and the stock cooler...of course it will be fine. THey wouldnt sell it with that cooler if it didnt work.

+1. You'll also get a Resevoir with the Ultima kit.

+1 on the petra's Coolit elite but that is going to depend on if your case can handle the triple rad. You don't get the res in the petra's kits but you get the fitting for a t-line which can be better in tight cases.
