I have a 3X120 and a 2x120 in the bottom of the tjo7 :screwy:

the waaaay overboard part is I have another 1 x 120 that i was thinking of putting between the CPU and GPU
Do I need it or just save it for a rainy day. I am not even overclocking yet. Or should i just run the 3x 120 and the one 1x120 between the CPU and GPU
I am running medium speed fans to be quiet and thought if i run more radiator i can run less fan

and any tips for this n00b to put it together besides take my time?

Well overboard is never a bad thing. Overdoing the rad thing vcan effect flow rates and case airflow if all internal. You can always add it later?

And how to put it together? A link to some hack thing I wrote last year that some else posted as a sticky somewhere else. Take look, and please pay no attention to the later fool posts about plumbers tape.....

Wow. That is quite over kill. You have 5x120 rad worth of cooling for a CPU and GPU and you ARE NOT overclocking? I think you will be fine with what you have until you start to OC pretty high.

Plus, are you running the 2 rads, cpu block, and gpu block all on one loop? Adding a third rad will impede the flow rate and depending on your pump it might be too much.

A good way to check if your third rad is needed at a later time is to estimate the heat being put into your loop by your cpu and gpu and how much heat your 3x120 and 2x120 are taking out of the loop.

lol, thats nothing! i have 3 triple 120mm rads or 9x 120mm. for a cpu and gpu, but both are max overclocked.

ric, can you please make a sig with your system specs, what cpu and gpu are you cooling?

yeah I read that a few times hehe. The tape on the barb made no seance its almost as bad as putting oil on so it slides on lol. OK I will not put on the extra 1x125, if needed I can always get more line and install that. I have the D5 and this thing is a monster haha. I flushed radiators yesterday and im going to do blocks today, paint tomorrow, go racing sunday. Just making sure I did not miss any pro tips

I am a little embarassed about the equipment. Its a year old other than the GPU. I am water cooling to get the Processor up to speed.

mine is well over 2 years old, so it can't be that bad at 1 year.

I can mount the pump any which way right?

and i fixed the links

Yes, you should have no problem mounting the D5 in any direction you want. Often people mount them up-side-down in the lower section of your TJ07.

What is at the bottom of your case?...The two rectangular areas? Are those for mounting your rads?

You want the intake on the pump lower than the outlet. Otherwise you get air pockets. You look on the swifteck site? Nice pics and pics in the box with the pump. It's easy nuff to figure out.

Just kiddin tho.

Mine is a table and chair with a charred wall from a PC fire. Wasn't my PC though, would of been so cool if it was......

Where is my avatar? Grr maybe I never put it up. fixing.........

yeah not yet. Im going to over clock the GPU like no other. The CPU is fine it keeps up for now. I dont really get above 75% too much, but when i bench mark it ill over clock it.

I am running medium sythe fans. they are 1200 rpm 6X CFM fans they blow fine through the radiators and they are quiet. I was figuring less fan more radiator haha

Overboard?

There's no such thing as the Nature Boy going overboard...

That's like saying "The Joker's a little over the top..."

Look at my sig. 3x120 with a Q9650 that is stable at 4.5Ghz and bechable to 4.707Ghz. Please note my GTX 260 is volt modded and overclocked "like no other". Temps on the GPU dont go past 40C with 24C ambient. CPU never breaks 70C. ;)

What about using a 480mm radiator for just the cpu?

wow thats impressive!! i know who i am hitting up for help when I start to over clock the GPU and CPU. I was reading up on the Q6600 and Intel said they shouldnt go over 62*.

hmmm that would have been good haha dang i didnt see that before
