anyone managed to lay their hands on the 1.8GHz (L2100) model? I'm trying to build a tiny media streaming PC which could be used at LAN parties and the like for a few older games. I've watched the videos of this chip running crysis, and having already sold out to intel (my last two chips have been from them) I want to avoid buying an Atom 330 setup!

I've found the L2200 version at a few places, but googling it seems to only bring up countless tests and reviews of the thing, nowhere seems to be selling it.....

What's different between L2200 and C7? If Froogle can't find an L2100, it doesn't exist :)

the L2100/L2200 series are a completely new architecture, much faster than the C7 chips, and much faster than the single core Atom too.... weirdly the higher end model (1.8GHz) is the lower number....

They're named/numbered by idle power usage first, and speed second.

L2200 - 1.6GHz - 200mW
L2100 - 1.8GHz - 500mW

U2500 - 1.2GHz - 100mW
U2300 - 1.0GHz - 100mW
U2250 - 1.3+GHz - 200mW
U2225 - 1.3GHz - 200mW
U1700 - 1.0GHz - 200mW
