I installed the LED's onto my MoBo (K7S5A) for Link and 100. When does it use 100 base? I havent seen it lit. I know my network works, I use it quite frequently, and the Link light is always on.

100BT will only work if it is connected to a network that is also running 100BT. If you're connected directly to DSL or cable via ethernet, you're only running 10BT as that is what your ISP is running out to you.

If you're connected to a hub, switch or router that is only 10BT, your NIC will also default to that.

If you have a home LAN and the rest of it is at 100Mbps, you may need to see if it's enabled at 100Mbps Full Duplex in the Device Manager properties for that card.

I went into the device manager and didnt find anything concerning an option for 100 base. My MoBo uses SiS 900 onboard 100/100 LAN. The network card in the back room is also 10/100, using Cat5e x-over cable. Using Wingate as my proxy.

no, onboard on my K7S5A, and a 10/100 Belkin on the back machine.

I looked for more settings, and didnt find any
