I am ordering a new computer with an AMD XP1600+ and would like to know what is recommended for cooling and heatsink. I am going to order an Antec 1240 case and a Shuttle AK31 mobo. I will not be water cooling at the start but will be fairly soon , but do not want to burn up before I cool. Any recommendations as well as settings to get full potential while still staying safe before water cooling and peltiers. Also please let me know of anything I may overlook when I buy as this is a first go for me. The big h/ware is easy but the small stuff is where I will mess up.

Thanks

There is a nice HSF comparison guide on the front page, here (http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/). Also, I would recommend looking through the Cooling topic, as there is plenty of good info there.

If you don't want to spend too much, I recommend the Volcano 6Cu, 6Cu+, or 7 until you water cool. Cheap and adequate.
