Can anyone help me with a problem I'm having. On the computer I'm using after about 2 minutes after windows loads I get this error message when trying to open a folder ( any folder actually ) -

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows has caused an error in <unknown>.
Explorer will now close.

If you continue to experience problems,
try (taking a hammer to it :) )...restarting your computer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't figure it out, does anyone have a clue whats going on. When this error starts to happen i can't open any folders unless I restart the pc.

you need to reinstall windows, something in explorer.exe or other critical file is corrupt. An install over the current one could fix the problems.

And please, watch the language.

Have you add/remove any hardware or program from the computer be4 all this started.

there might be some conflict between software.
and it would help if some one need to look up information for you.

You could try System Restore as a last resort?
