Hey guys, I'm a bit new here but have a couple friends who use this site and get a lot of help...anyways...

I'm wondering what would be the best bang for the buck on a 775 board...I want to upgrade my brother's computer cause I gave him my old (socket 939) one and it's getting a bit outdated....so I wanted to get him a cheap quad setup...just was wondering which brand has worked out the best for everyone...while maintaining a low cost, any help would be appreciated

Welcome !

If i was buying NOW, the I5 route is way more futurproof. Remember that the 775 socket is "old" now.

If you still want 775 :
Asus P5Q pro/deluxe
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R or UD3P

These are rock solid P45 chipset board.

Ya Asus P5Q Pro is good MOBO. I am also going for that for my new machine. Its affordable and has good headroom for overclocking (if you are into that).
