Help with my DV7-1273cl

It has a Core 2 Duo T6400 (I know, ), 4GB DDR2, and a 9600m GT. The BIOS is version F.2A.
I've been trying to overclock my GPU (through software only), though my efforts have been in vain. From what I can collect, the clock speeds are locked in the BIOS. I also can't install Nvidia Ntune because it crashes my laptop during installation. I'm relatively noobish, so I would appreciate any help.
I've tried searching for a solution, but I haven't found any. I hope I'm not asking any obvious questions.
