I'm thinking about overclocking my crappy tnt2 m64 video card sometime soon and I was wondering what the best and easiest utility to use was. Also I'm wondering how the whole process goes... I'm a total newbie at this and have no clue what to do. Do I need to buy anything like better fans etc?

Well i used program called TNTClk with my old TNT2 and it worked quite well considering that it's TNT2 card.
powerstrip is also a nice proggy and has many extra options.
The procedure is as following:
U have to install one of those programs and start moving sliders of your Core and Memory in 5MHz increasements.
Afteru pushed 5MHz up u have to test your stability and do some benchmarks.the best for that is 3DMark..for your card 2k not 2k1.
If everythin went o.k. and ur not gettin any lockups or some strange artifacts u can push another 5MHz..and test again.if u start experiencing some lockups or strange artifacts u have to DOWNGRADE your settings!
I hope u understood this part?
Second part is cooling.I don't know if your card has active cooling on its chip such as gpu FAN?My old ASUS tnt2 had a nice fan and was a very good OCer.
If it doesn't have fan u should consider buyin one but first u have to see if there 's a way to attach it.
Some RAM heatsinks are also a nice thing since the memory has more influence on card speed.
I think i said almost everythin if u still have some questions just ask
Good luck
:)

You will need :
1) Riva Tuner for overclocking.....and
2) Artifact Tester for results

Is Riva Tuner better than NvMax? If so, why? I've been using NvMax, and been happy with it, but if I can get better perf out of something else, I'd be willing to try it.

Yes on the GPU a fan is there. Thanks for all the info, it doesn't sound hard at all. You said to use 3dmark 2000 and not 2001 right?

Yes cuz i doubt u'll get 2k1 workin with tnt2 chip, and if ya do its uselles cuz u won't b able to run many test so i suggest u to use 2k instead!
cheers and gl
