View Full Version : install games on RAID O drive or external?

so i have a RAID 0 with 2 30gb OCZ Vertex, somewhat limited space. Would you recommend I install games on this RAID drive or on a different drive (D: drive, etc.)? advantages/ disadvantages? THANKS!

Advantage = saves precious space on the SSD
Disadvantage = makes the game load slower

You may have already figured that part out?

60gigs is more than a couple games... for me, I would put em on the RAID.

60gigs is like win7+photoshop+wow+office+misc tools :(

why u have a raid 0? for speed right? any reason why u want to lower the speed of ur games by installing them on a external drive? install the games on the array

This question is really up to the OP. You should know the differences of putting the games on one or the other...how is this our choice? Do you have the room??? Then do it. If you dont, you do not have much choice.
