Ok so im trying to monitor these big WU's for my SMP client and I cant seem to understand how to set up the monitoring process of it. I have read a few guides and its not really working out for me. So does anyone have a guide that can point me in the right direction of how to setup the monitoring for this SMP client?

There are two options. Either HFM (made by our own harlam) or Fahmon. HFM you'll need mono, fahmon is native c (or c++ I don't remember). I'm using HFM and loving it.

Quite a different process if you're trying to monitor the FAH client locally or from another machine over a network. Which are you trying to do?

As Shellnut mentioned, get mono and run HFM, the best monitor, or search for a precompiled version of FAHmon. Precomplied Linux versions of FAHmon are not available at the FAHmon website. You can compite your own FAHmon, if you're so inclined. Personally I just monitor my rigs from a Windows rig over the network.

note on hfm, you'll need mono 2.4. Depending on your Ubuntu version you might have to get it from here (https://launchpad.net/~directhex/+archive/monoxide)

I use my Vista notebook to monitor all my folding clients on my home network. Created a folder "C:\HFM" on the notebook, copied the HFM files into the folder, made a shortcut on the desktop to C:\HFM\HFM.exe. In order for HFM to access the FAH client log files, you will need to enable sharing on each FAH client folder. Then run HFM and add your folding clients. Also need to configure HFM settings for your own user name and any other prefs.

On the Ubuntu box you will also have to set up Samba server so as your windows machine will see your shared folders,

here is a link to setting up Samba
