Ok i have all the multiplyers on my kr7a-raid and xp2000+ but
changeing the FSB and lowering the multi doesnt do SH*T
i am 95 percent stable at 1.79gighertz 12.5x fsb 143
i tried 12x 150fsb =1800mhz but its still unstable im not sure what is going on here.
right now im using my volcano heatsink and have to rebuild it tonight to throw on the alpha8045 to give me 40c idle.
right now at 1.79 with the volcano im running 49c idle lol.
anyway wouldnt lowering the multi and raising the fsb lower the stress on the cpu?
i dont think i can overclock this chip past 1.8 without the voltage mod which im not going to risk.
i can get 160 fsb with 11x multi but that only gives me like 1750mhz
help me out
i will test the rig tonight with the alpha to give me alot lower temps and maybe i can hit 1800mhz who knows.
maybe if me temps were stable and lower when i put the alpha on it will work at 12x 150fsb for 1800mhz what do you think

fsb is usaly the memorys problem.. u may have to give it more voltage..
and when it comes to 2000+ oe the 1700+ fsb is no different.. u should be able to hit 150fsb with good memory

at first i had all the multiplyers but i think something happen when the cpu got to hot and it messed up the bridge. i went back over the one bridge that was supposed to give me the 11.5 11x 9.5 9x multiplyers . they all work great now.
i cant wait until kr7a supports the 2100+ because i am going to raise the multi to 13x. i am going to rebuild my cpu again tonight or tomorrow night with the alphapal8045 and fully use all 5 fans in the case. right now im idleing at 47c and there is no way im going to overclock right now by lowering the fsb,
the only thing i want right now is to hit 1800mhz and i cant do it with 12.5 144fsb with the alpha8045 but i might be able to hit 1800mhz using the alpha and 12x 150fsb.
if not i dont think i can get this chip over 1800mhz without a voltage mod or a bios upgrade that supports 13x multi
i think tomshardware only got to 1850mhz with watercooling maybe its true then

According to this (http://www.theinquirer.net/20010203.htm) the 2000+ is as high as AMD will release the XP Palomino, so you are probably just about at the limits with your chip and air cooling. "Lucky" chips might go higher, but you still have one helluva rig right there.
