Short story even shorter. Another set of Ballistix (new 2.0v variety) smoked on me, and Crucial UPS'd an RMA replacement. Driver left the bare padded envelope at the door when no one was home. It rained soon after and the RAM got wet. I let the RAM dry out, tried to boot with it and no go. I filed a UPS insurance claim online and am now waiting.
Can anyone share their experience with UPS insurance claims? I figure if this doesn't work I'll ping Crucial. If anything, I'm using this as a learning experience as the value of the RAM isn't that much, but I feel confident I will win b/c the driver should have left the envelope in a bag since rain was in the forecast. I also kept the envelope with clearly shows the label got wet.
