Back when the economy nose-dived I was forced to sell my DS and most of my games to make a bank payment.
Well I've spent most of the year since then righting those wrongs.
I've got a new DS and all the games I had sold back.
So I'm wondering what I missed?
I've already got all the Phoenix Wright Games (those were never sold) obviously.
Picked up all the obvious ones: New Super Mario, Mario Kart, Metroid, Zelda, Elite Beat Agents, Trauma Center.
What else should I be on the lookout for?

The Castlevania games are can't miss. There are 2 Professor Layton games out. I love those. Other than that, you got me. I don't play mine all that much. The wife likes Peggle.

Yeah I've got Dawn of Sorrow (it was one of the games I'd sold.)
Now I guess I should get the others.
Got both the Layton's and Hotel Dusk... Was there ever a sequel to that?

GTA: Chinatown Wars - this game is awesome...it's also coming out on PSP soon with some upgraded lighting but it's pretty fun to use the touch screen to toss cocktail bombs.
Space Invaders Extreme - just a fun arcade style shooter....great revamp of a classic with powerups, bonus rounds, etc.
Peggle - this game is surprisingly fun..can play in really short bursts...great game to be watching TV and play it on the commercial breaks.
Chrono Trigger. Sounds like you've got most of the other essentials already.
Also, there is a new Okami game coming to the DS to look out for.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is awesome! Definitely grab that one if youre a strategy RPG fan. Ninja Gaiden is pretty damn good as well. Some other ones of notable mention are Metroid, both Advance Wars titles, Star Fox, Nanostray 1 and 2 (arcade style shooter), Custom Robo Arena (one of my favs), Wario Ware Touched, Meteos, and Metroid Prime Pinball. Theres plenty of others out there too, just forget ATM cuz its early lol. I have a pretty big collection of DS games.

Got Chrono Trigger. Didn't know about the Okami game and I forgot all about Ninja Gaiden for some odd reason...
Hotel Dusk and Appollo Justice are keeping me busy at the moment.
I had no idea there was a Starfox title on the DS... I have actually NEVER OWNED a starfox game... which is unfortunate.
I borrowed one a couple of times, but never had it long enough to remember.

I played the starfox for DS...I found it to be ok....I didn't like the boss battles....they should have kept it a straight up shooter true to it's roots....As much as I hate remakes I think remaking the SNES one on the DS would have been cool too.

Let me know how they are. I like Dawn of Sorrow a lot, if the others are similar I'll grab em.
Also take a look at The World Ends With You. It's really fun.

an el cheapo game that's good although fairly short is Trace Memory. Good mystery/rpg type game. I got into Advance Wars for a bit too but it's ridiculously long and the upper levels are near impossible without cheating.

I agree with fudge on advance wars....I found it extremely fun but it gets hard and there's no partial save....so you have to keep replaying it from the beginning and they can be long.

What's that? (I mean I could look it up, but...)

You know I was going to get Trace Memory for no particular reason... Then I remembered that I was really thinking of Trauma Center. I'll check it out.

Lazy mofo.. It's a weird little RPG that sorta reminds me of Baten Kaitos mixed with DDR mixed with.. Well, it's different... Just give it a try.

This game is pretty fun....it's a Square Enix game...pretty good music for a DS game. Kind of reminds me of a touch enabled Jet Grind Radio Action/RPG

Well either you two have completely lost your minds... or this game actually exists and I've gotta try it. :D

Just finished the "First Day"... what a weird game. :)
Then again BlazBlue was ten times weirder until I got used to it.

Well, it was made by the same people who made Hotel Dusk and since we both liked that game.....
