networking i need help

ok heres the skinny.. i have a LAN set up between my win2000 machine and my win98 machine the 2000 is perfact it sees itself on the netowork but not the 98 machine. when i open network neighborhood and doubleclick entire network it says that i cant browse the network now u MIGHT say is a hardwear hing well i dont think so cuz... i start diablo 2 on my 98 machine host a IP game and then i have the 2000 join the game that works! i dont see why they dont see each other tho please help

Share a drive or folder on the Win98 machine. That sometimes helps. Also, this should go in the Internet and Networking section. You will get more help there...

What workgroup have you got the machines set too?

umm im sharing drives on both machines

they are both set to "workgroup"

are you using a hub? router?

hub its a iPaq 5 port 10/100 fast ethernet auto sensing switch its not a router or at least i thought it was a hub
