1.4GHz Pentium3 Out in Japan!

Intel is once again releasing an even faster version in its Pentium3 series. The Pentium3 1.4GHz with 512KB L2 is said to have the performance of a 2GHz Pentium4 with 600 less MHz.

Intel already has even faster versions of its Pentium3 line running @ 1.46GHz (256KB) and 1.53GHz (256/512KB).

The 1533MHz 512KB L2 Pentium3 is supposed to compare against Intel's 2200 northwood with a simular price and performance ratio.

A 1.53GHz 512KB L2 Pentium3-T would be something;)

The 1.4GHz Pentium3 cpu is supposed to hit shelves everywhere in US first week of february.

1.53GHz is scheduled for April release.

Yes, they are all only Tualatin cpus based on .13micron technology.

You can even buy a 1.4GHz Pentium3 accelerated to over 1.833GHz and blow away even a 2.2 @ 2.8.
