MSI Wind U123 cold boot failure with X25-m

Latest bios on th Wind and latest firmware on ssd.

Every time I cold boot, I get "boot failure press any key to continue"
If I ctrl+alt+del after boot failure, Windows boots fine.
If I restart from Windows, it boots fine.
If I enter the bios first and exit, it boots fine.

The problem only occurs when cold boot.

Anyone have an idea how to resolve this?

It appears to be a problem with the ssd. Super Nade brought over an identical drive, and it has no cold boot issues. Anyone know how to fix this, or is it rma time?
