As per my sig I have those 3 machines.

I want to use one of them for tooling with the different software I have access to via the ACM/MSDNAA account.

I know there are issues for combining cards of different models on one board.

is it an issue adding the 8800 to the 285 machine? or the 285 to the 295?

would it really kill my PPD one which ever config I go with?

as far as folding..EVGA stated you can fold with any card combo...
as far as gaming and such sli same cards ..and 1 physx card 1 below your sli cards

won't need sli, only machine i game on is the main, and 295 already SLI'd
I am leaning toward sacking the 8800 with the 285 , but the heat would be out of control.

the 295 is on water so no REAL heat issue there, it might be better to put the 8800 there.

I might just leave it as is and go Virtual.

just ordered the waterblock (200-CU-HC85-B1)yesterday for my 285...the heat from air cooling too much for me to stand.
noticed something before i add my physics card (275-017-P3-1176-AR) gonna have to add another power source to the rig( might need it now )...just don't know where im gonna put it

thought you already had the 3rd one on water?

so you going to have 2 285 in ali and the 3rd as physx?

no the 3rd is on air, they dont make the 285 hydrocopper anymore :(
so i got the 285 sc air cooled.
runing 285 tri sli and a physx 285 would bottle neck my system

Mehh, I don't care. i think I'm going to decommission the AMD and move the 8800 to one of the other 2 machines. its only about 100 PPD that its pushing out not really going to miss it. I have to clean out all 3 machines this weekend anyway. install RTM win7 and such and such. then run my toys VIA vmware on my i7.
