have forgotten the power on password,,,,
how do i fix this without paying??????????

try taking the battery out (the bios one)?

you can try taking out the cmos battery, but im pretty sure your out of luck on that model.

i knew the password bout 2 years ago its been folding was messing and restarted and .........woops... now what the heck was that password.lol

I know Dell can provide owners with a master/reset password for their notebook BIOS. Maybe IBM/Lenovo has a similar option at their support site.

(fixed) taking out the cmos bat then booting to bios then shut down then put back to gether...just the removal alone did not do it...
