Many people know that XP1600 is probably one of the most attractive cpu purchases because it is around $120 or so. I want to know what kind of overclocking you guys can get out of yours. This is what I have so far.

I have an AGLHA stepping.

166*10.5 1743mhz 2.2v: Loads windows, and crashes after 5 minutes of prime95, 60'c LOAD!!

164*10.5 1722 2.2v: runs prime for a few hours can run 3dmark most of the time 58'c Load

163*10.5 1712mhz 2.15v: I am testing this setting right now so far it is "stable" 54'c Load

162*10.5 1701mhz 2.15v: Completely stable ran folding over night a few nights, played games for hours no problems at all. 54'c load

Without a Volt mod the best stable setting I could get was
153 * 10.5 1.825v 45'c LOAD

I think if I can get more air going over the heatsink I should be able to get 166*10.5, that is my goal for this chip.... Xp 2100+

1596 Mhz 152 FSB max with stability, 1607 Mhz 153 FSB on cold days

Finally someone who has the same stepping that I have!

I currently run 10.5x165 (1733MHz) at 2.15 Vcore. Temperatures under full load are 35 deg C. Idle at about 24 deg C. This setting is fully stable, prime95, games, etc...I have been able to post upto 1850Mhz@2.3V but can't make it into windows. Will run 1775 MHz @ 2.20 Vcore, but not totally stable, games will kick me back out to the desktop.

Your the first person to have this stepping that I've known of besides myself! I've been looking for sometime to see if my chip was a dud, but judging by your results I'd say I've got an average OC.

You are running water cooling? I mean you must with those temps..! hehe..

I have been running 10.5*163 all afternoon playing lots of games, no problems yet. Hottest temp recorded so far has been 55'c LOAD!, but usually stays round 54'c. So not too bad! espcially on air and 2.15v.... I tried 164*10.5 but it was totally unstable. I am thinking now that it could be my memory at that speed, but I have had my memory run perfectly stable at 166... but we'll see if this speed 1712mhz runs without any problems I will try 1722 tommorrow, and hopefully get up to 1743 soon!... Yeah I think the AGLHA chips are a little better, most people can get 1600 or so on regular xp 1600's, if you are getting above 1700 and so am it might not be a coincidence. But I did notice that these things really like the voltage at anything past 1570mhz or so... it's like .5 volts for ever 50mhz or so.... hehe

The one thing I've really noticed about the XP's is that they don't like voltage as much as the old t-birds did. I had an 1.0Ghz AXIA that did 1400 Mhz @ 1.85Vcore. After a voltage mod and bumping the Vcore up to 2.3 the chip run 100% stable @ 1.68 Ghz. I'd definitely love to get 1800MHz from this chip. I'm looking into cooling (you're correct, I'm watercooled) with a bar refrigerator.

I almost forgot to mention that I'm using micron 2100 memory on a KR7A raid board. I've had my memory up to 190MHz FSB with no problems, although my NIC card didn't like it too much. The NIC card functioned enough to surf the net, but if I tried to download a large file, it would crap out. Probably have to pick up a 3com card. I have a 40gb maxtor ultra 133 drive that loves the bus speeds at 190mhz, no problems.
