help with netbook selection

so my trusty hp is on its last legs and im thinking about getting a netbook for school,i have about 300$ to spend
i was looking at the mini9 and the mini10 and the hp's but i am open to suggestions as i have no experience with netbooks :confused:
~i will mainly use it for surfing the web, notes and listening to music
~battery life is a huge plus for me since my hp has 7min of juice :(
~hdd space isnt that big of an issue
~i would like to have a reasonable gpu if possible
if you have any suggestions that would be great and thanks in advance for your help :beer:

If you can wait, I'd suggest waiting another month or two, as it's rumored that Samsung and Lenovo will unveil new netbooks using Nvidia's Ion platform.

But if you can't wait, I'd just go for the Mini 10 IMO. or an Asus Eee 1000HE.

Just picked up an Asus 1008HA. Its $400 on amazon but is pretty darn slick.
