man... i love those 12'' red cold cathode tubes. thinking about ordering like 4-6 sets. hum.... but can't deside on where to hang them in the Xaser VI case.

Just snapped up a few goodies. Thermalright AXP-140 HTPC Heatsnk - Almost bought one for $55 last week - but Xoxide had it for $21 friggin'dollars :eek: . I also picked up a cheap USB Mouse/Keyboard for the Test Bench, an extra LGA-775 bracket kit for XP120's, and a cheaper 550W PSU that I'm sure will find a home in a friend's PC at some point...

One for my brother in >110*f ambient temps in the cali central valley.
One for my dad and his PhII 810 that is crying out for a real cooler and a massive OC.
One for my friend with a 4850e and it's silly little cooler and left field core temp sensors, so he can crank the voltage up and get a decent OC out of it.

I already have a 1283 at home and a big typhoon at work, both cooling their respective chips quite well.




I'm going to make all three people pay me back, but if i waited they'd be sold out, like the $12 sunbeam CCFs (!!!) and $16 Tuniq Towers (which the kingwins beat anyway).

I wanted another noctua but I'm not going to order one. I have 1 already on teh desk and it'll make it into this panzerbox, as will my nzxt sentry LX, but I need to see if I can get teh damned thing operating correctly. I bet it'll play nicer with some NZXT fans. :)

I wanted to order a few more things since the price dropped. Namely some WC parts (old pump needs replacing for example). But on the 3rd step of payment process, I was told 3 items were out of stock, leaving me with only a Swiftech Apogee.

I looked, and looked. All they had left were ugly cases (nothing worthy of putting my old AMD 5000 when I take my Tempest for next upgrade), no pump, nothing good. So I ended up with a $21.11 Apogee GT (plus $10 shipping) and I still need to find a hold down plate for either 1366 or 1156 (whichever I get)

Believe me, heatsinks r my thing, my Thermalright SI-120 has been on just about every socket out there! 478, 939, Socket a and currently 775.

HELL i just put a socket 604 heatsink on a socket 478 mobo with bailing wire, and it came out better than any retention bracket for a stock 478 hs haha. Not normally am i this ghetto but bailing wire worked perfect and it was on a comp i could care less about.

I tend to agree with you. With a couple of pieces of metal and a drill, you can just about make any sink fit any socket.

I did get a few things though, a couple of the <$7 keyboards for spares, a couple mini wireless mice, a couple zalman chipset coolers, a zalman clip on mic, and a 250mm fan (green leds, how can you say no). $50 shipped and I'm guessing the only thing I will ever use is the mouses :)

My case will come, it was a separate order. My mouse pad better come, and I swear if the case has even a scratch on it I'll be having vista do a charge back. They WILL not get my money if I don't get the product I ordered.

Going out of business or not, close out or not, if it's a torn up part that I didn't get to see prior to my order they won't get their money.

If you go to their site now, you will no longer see anything to do with them going out of business and a complete listing of parts and cases are showing, however, everything that I clicked on shows them to be out of stock.

It looks like perhaps someone bought the name and is going to continue the business, but they just haven't restocked.

It will be interesting to keep an eye on this.

...and for what its worth, like some of you guys, I haven't received any kind of shipping update on my two orders...still waiting and it has been a week now.

Might just have to give them a call. :(

I'm a sad panda now. Because I jumped on the Rosewill compact mATX tower dealie posted elsewhere I will now be able to use a full tower cooler instead of a slim case cooler, I totally would have snagged a cooler from the xoxide sale :( Oh well.

I may sell the CNPS10x I got from Xoxide cheap if I go full WC on my new build. Other than taking it out of the box and running fan 72 hours nonsto, it has never been used. Keep an eye on the classified ad in about a month.
