Straight forward question, whats a good temp for the CPU, I have a 1.33Ghz AMD Athlon XP running at 1.5Ghz at the temp of 100 degrees F. Is this a bad temp? or what? Thanks
Anything under 115f is excelent for an athlon. Is the 100f under full load or at idle?

at idle its about 95F to 100F, when playing games its about 108F to 110F
Most excelent temps dude... Sorry I'm watching Bill and Teds excelent Adventure now. Your temps are great. Can your CPU go any faster? What voltage is your CPU at. Since your temps are good try more voltage and play with the speed.

yes those temps are fine, i fun a 1.33 at 1.53 to 1.58 depending on what i feel like. 1.85vcore, and get like 102 when at 1530 adn like 106 at 1580
thoes temps are good, id stay under 115-117 area
Bah whats that in Celius?

Here's a comparable list for ya
-40c = -40F
-30c = -22F
-20c = -4F
-10c = 14F
0c = 32F
10c = 50F
20c = 68F
30c = 86F
40c = 104F
50c = 122F
60c = 140F
Want an exact conversion, here's a simple Conversion Calculator (http://www.webwinder.com/wwhtmbin/jtempcon.html)
The lower the better, i keep my case below zero, right now it's at -22c (-7F) case temp, 9c (48F) cpu load, 2c(35F) chipset. The lower it is, the more performance/overclockability you'll have.

My cpu is running at 63C Idle, so I am quite sure that your 100F is more than suficcient..
Kinda weird since I have a 1800XP with a Swiftech 462B & Pabst 8412NGM on top of it...
:burn:
I wish I could find out why the hell its so hot.

what program do you use to monitor your temps? It might be that my program just sucks...

I kinda have the same problem, i'm always at 49C, which is pretty hot, but not too bad... but its ALWAYS at 49... under load, or idle, or anything... ALWAYS 49... its frustrating....

My system is running at 20C idle and 26-30C full load

Any temp below 40C is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr8!!!
Just don't go below -50C else the CPU could start tearing....
