Ga,s with the graphical wow factor

Ok so im building a new rig, see here:

I want some amazing looking games to wow my console friends 1 of whom is borderline on the turn to buying a pc, i have crysis maximum edition on order which is the obvious one but how about some more and maybe even some mods that make games look fantastic links would be nice too ps i want to game at minimum 1920x1080 or whatever th pc standardis, forgot after 12 months on hdtv, damn i missed pcs :beer:

Grab Oblivion with Qarl's Texture Pack 3. It still looks insanely good.

Also, prolly better luck getting the dupe thread removed if ya report it rather than just putting 'mods please merge' at the bottom :beer:

Fallout 3 looks amazing, COD 4 looks pretty good. Both are available on console but look better on PC with all the options cranked up.

Cod 4 is too close to modern warfare 2 release, ill look in to fallout as i only played 10 hours or so on ps3

Far Cry 2 looks very good cranked up. GRID looks good if you are into racing games.

Fear 2 looks hawt... in fact, its the game I used to convert my friend from PS3 to PC... he says he now has a $600 blu-ray player instead of a game console now >.<

EDIT 2: should be ok. take whatever you get regularly on ultra high settings and subtract about 10 fps, give or take. im gonna guess about 35 fps, but thats just a mildly educated guess, so dont take it to heart, as 2 identical rigs will get different performances.

Well try it now, it will run smooth still looks good enough and, the game is good, just get the cheat so you can run as long as you desire so you won't fall asleep while walking around.

Also in regards to the first Stalker, get the oblivion lost mod. It made the game much much more enjoyable, and more tension filled :D

have your friend play a fps with mouse/keyboard and you wont have to wow them with graphics :P.
I would also agree with the Oblivion mods you should check em out. Think ill give that crysis mod a shot tonite

Anvil at sunset.. Beautiful area. I prefer HDR to AA in Oblivion, the jaggies aren't very noticable in motion and HDR is done pretty well in this game. Oblivion + Qarl's Texture Pack 3 + OOO.

Company of Heroes if you or your friend are into RTS games. With the graphics maxed out that game looks amazing for a rts. It doesn't look as good as oblivion or crysis but the graphics would be good enough to pass as a first person game (except there can be hundreds of guys, tanks and armored vehicles on the map at the same time).

Other wise I'd stick with crysis, farcry 2, oblivion with the texture pack, maybe even GT4 if your computer is good enough to max out the graphics (it looks much better on pc than it does on consoles.

Yup sequel is supposedly in the works. Course no date set so we'll looking at 2-3 years probably before we see it. The game does still look amazing though after all these years. Wonder if there is going to be more of an updated texture pack for it?

Cool looking forward to that now!! Yeh the game has aged well... and there is improved texture packs available for download.... il see if i can find some...

I will ++ that suggestion. UT3 looks pretty good maxed out, im also suprised no one has mentioned Mirrors edge. Its pretty nice on PC.

I'd suggest going with OOO 1.33 as well, it makes Oblivion how it shoulda been stock :)

I'm gonna second UT3 aswell. The videos I've seen of mirrors edge with phsyx enabled look pretty amazing too.
