Hi

I'm upgrading my motherboard/CPU. I currently have a raid 10 on 4 disks, if I install those disks in the new setup, will the motherboard recognise the raid, or not.

If not I guess I will have to copy everything off the raid, and rebuild from scratch.

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Colin

Unless you have the exact same RAID controller and such, transferring hard drive will never work without having to rebuild. Safer to backup your existing RAID first then rebuild fresh array on new motherboard.

Typically with integrated controllers no, most dedicated controllers can detect the array data and import the drives.
