We are now ranked #40 in the world and our production for this past week was up nicely to approximately 1800 per day. Great job everybody!

Wow! That's great! I also noticed that Dan LaRoche is almost to the 10k club. Another 50 WUs to go. It's been awhile since someone joined that stratospheric club!

#40 is sweet hope it sticks and its not the other teams missing uploads. Still having touble with uploads sometimes myself and I imagine SETI should have the most bandwidth available on the weekends as campus offices and such are probly shut down.

I'm caching a few extra on my main box so I can crunch till the weekend if necessary.

But what is our place without Benz??? We should be ready to accept a drop off if it is proven his units are bogus.

If Benz is removed we would probably be 43 going by the current stats - not much of a drop at all. So far there has been no response from the Berkeley people. It can only be a matter of time I suppose - his work unit times of roughly 30 minutes and dropping are simply not possible with anything that the official client is able to run on at this point in time.

Correct TC. No processor is fast enough to achive like a 2min WU !

I'm having trouble uploading my WU's as well deez. I wouldnt care if we dropped at least all of our WU's would be 100% genuine.

Berkeley is supposed to respond??? How can they do that? It takes them 6 hours to send me a new work unit.

Well I just got through, but I think I will keep about 1 weeks worth of WU's in cache on all my boxes for a while

Maybe I can download wu's through his email then. I upped my cache from 5 to 15, it took me an hour to get all 15 units.

Well it would be faster, but that whole idea smacks of effort.

Oh, I don't know about that...I just had a 17 second WU! I don't think I got credit for it though...one of those interference WUs.

So far seems that SETI Team Germany is not dumping their weekly allowance of WU.....until we have some good margin above them I would be reluctant to proclaim the 40th place.....:) but we still can celebrate it (dancing madly in celebration).....

As for the situation withourt benz, at the time I'm writing the total shown at berkeley's page is 489,837 (January 28th, 9:22 am) if we substract benz WU (17,354 WU) we are left with 472,483 WU. That would put us just below Texas A&M (480,322 WU) that is in the 43th position and above Hungary (464,030 WU).....in the end not so far below.

good to see we are still climbing those rankings

as for the benz situation
i heard a "rumour" about someone that created specific hardware to run seti in hardware instead of software
though i seriously doubt it,its a nice thought
:)

If you are talking about the pci card with 6 different cpu running linux, that was bogus. It would have been cool though...Instead of buying so many boxes, I could just add a Seti upgrade card. HEHEHE...think of the possibilities. I mean TC could finally move into an apartment instead of having to live in those big houses. :)

In my experience, Eric is about a week behind in replying... since i sent him the email on Friday before a holiday... a week and some days...

If i don't hear from him by, probably, Wednesday, I'll resend him the email... he WILL respond as soon as he can... I am sure of it...
