I have an Athlon 1133 running at 50C idle, 58C load. I was just wondering if these are dangerous temperatures, and how long my cpu will last under these conditions?

Those temps are bad but not dangerous. But I would definately work to lower them. What voltage is the chip running at? Also what cooling setup are you using?

Without any reason as to why they are that high I would label them "dangerously" high. They shouldn't kill your proc by any means, but not knowing the cause would deeply concern me.

ok this is what i did....at first i had a globalwin fop38....but it was too noisy so i got an 80mm fan adapter with a Sunon 50CFM, it was quite a bit less noise but same cooling. Just today, I decided to try one of the power logic (?) case fans in the case to lower the noise level even more. the temps used to be 45/50. now its 53/58. i just want to know if keeping this setup is dangerous or ok.

thanks for replying so quick.
