so ok i bought GTA4 for PC because my x box died and i have been HELLA bored lately and i was wondering if any one had these things happen.

first off some times the right channel of the sound cuts out (front and rear) and doesent come back untill the next time i start the game. whats up with that? mabe the on board sounds getting too hot and drops channels or something?

seccondly, i notice some times when i nail cars they instantly burt into flames, is there any way i can get that to happen all the time?

also what are some mods or things i can do to the game to make it run a bit better or look a bit better, i see some but i wanna know whats best.

alot of stuff is turned down but detail is all up and weither its max or min it doesent make any difference in performance. even at min it looks better than 360

when you shoot the cars, if you hit the fuel cap they blow up instantly in San Andreas, not too sure about 4 though. You sure that the sound drivers on your mobo are up to date?

If at max and min it don't make a difference on performance chances are your CPU is limiting your performance. Same thing happens on my laptop, anyways. For graphics theres not much to make it look better except
this:

it will make the shadows look a tad more smooth and it allows you to have motion blur without dof or vice versa and so on.

Texture detail and resolution make the biggest impact in graphics as well as shadow detail.

hmm, tried updating to version 1.4?
i was going to ask what the graphis were like compared to 360...your answer surprises me. i thought they were pretty similar lol.

Monkey MHz, that's the only tweak i've found for GTA4 as well. i'm going to try it myself over the school holidays ;)
