Going to see what the Asus board can do with the i5-750 I picked up this morning and the 860 that struggled on the EVGA P55 LE.

I also managed to rig the LGA 775 TRUE so it fits nicely on the 1136 socket using 4 bolts and the original TRUE hold-down bracket, so cooling will be better than the Noctua I used on the EVGA board.

probably a lil bending of the bracket.... there isnt much diff between 775 and 1156 mounting dimensions... 775 = 72mm square 1156= 75mm.

I think you should like it brolloks. I JUST last night build a rig wit the same mobo and an i5 750.... unfortunatly i was not able to oc it cus my friend did not want to oc his new computer... wussy.

Needless to say its a pretty awesome board, awesome feature set, great layout.... Although packin it with a GTX 260, 3 hds, 2 optical drives, and a 750tx psu all in an antec 300 was kinda like fitting 10 dollas worth of groceries in a 5 dolla sack.

Thanks Gautum :)...the spacing of the 775 and 1156 mounting holes are not more than 2 mm apart, the TRUE hold-down bracket has enough wiggle space to get it to fit over the 4 bolts.

Turbo V looks similar to Tweekit on Maimus III. Yes, it is a very nice tool to have.

+1 anxious have the 750 does...

First OC and booted without a hickup...I have a very good feeling about this setup indeed :)

Yeah, so it is I suppose. I got the 775 TRUE bracket to work ONCE, and only two holes. Every other time I've tried has resulted in springs flying in my face :p

I could not even a screenshot with the 860 at 4.4 Ghz (HT disabled), let alone SPI 32M :)

^^ adding to the question above, are running turbo mode to get the multiplier and can you actually set what multiplier you want or is it automatic and varies up to the x24 depending on the load.
thanks david
