i have kingston valuram 2x2gb 1.8v ram
and
OCZ reaper 2x2gb 2.2v ram

both ddr2 pc6400

I have them all running together in my system at 1.9v, is this bad? Is it better to undervolt the OCZ or overvolt the Kingston? (obviously matched memory would be ideal but thats besides the point) or is my 1.9v fine if it working right now?

Thanks - Jim

If it's stable, then it shouldn't be a problem. That's a very small overvolt for the Kingston ram and I can't recall any conditions where undervolting ram would cause actual damage.

i was thinking of bumping it to 2.0...even .2 difference from either one

If it is working at 1.9v, why would you want to increase it to 2.0v? I certainly wouldn't do it just to split the difference on specs.

l would think that you would want to run them at the lowest possible voltage while still allowing you to pass stability tests. Of course, if you are trying to tighten timings and need the extra voltage for stability, then that would be a valid reason.
