Ladies and Gentlemen,

As you all know, overclockers.com has been reunited with the forums under iNet Interactive. As part of this new venture, the front page will be completely restructured. The front page will be geared more towards content generated from the forums in addition to the excellent industry driven content from JoeC. We are looking for content editors who are active and willing to contribute their time.

As a content editor your responsibilities would be:
-Encourage member articles in the area you are in charge of.
-Editorial duties encompassing technical vetting and basic typesetting of submitted articles.
-Come up with new ideas to boost the reader base.

Who qualifies?
-Anybody who can provide a firm commitment of time.

Do I have to be a super-guru-genius-Einstein?

-Not necessary. You can always learn on the job. When in doubt ask the staff! :)

Any caps on the number of positions?

-NO. You may be asked to help out in other areas if need be.

Anything else?

-All we ask is that content editors stick to publication deadlines. :)

Sections:
-AMD CPUs & Mainboards
-Intel CPUs and Mainboards
-Electronics & SMPS Devices
-Science, Engineering and Mathematics
-Memory
-Video cards & devices, audio
-Air cooling
-Water cooling
-Extreme Cooling
-Invited columnists
-Podcast
-Forum News crew

Special Operations (SpecOps Team):
-Benching
-Distributed computing

The special sections will have their own achievements areas and will operate independently of the other editors. You will have no deadlines, but remember, your team depends on you for publicity!

Please pm any of the moderators or admins if you are interested in lending a hand (or post in this thread).

Thank you!

Here is the content editor description I've been sending out, to better explain what we'll be doing with those who express interest:

I'll go ahead and clarify what part the content editor role is going to play - maybe your already clear, but I just want to make sure.

The Forum Content Editors are going to be primarily communicators, proof readers, and organizers, and possibly writers also. They are hunter/gatherers more than anything. They will reach out to individuals in the subforum and ask for articles and contributions, as well as build relationships with regular contributors. They will be the ones who keep in touch with a specific subforum and identify what should be highlighted on the frontpage, and recognize good work the members are doing. They will also be the frontline for evaluating submissions and providing feedback. They'll make sure submitters are using the article template, and proofread/edit to make sure that the submission is in relatively good shape before forwarding it to us. They will be required to report back on a weekly basis at a minimum, so that we know whats coming down the pipeline.

For us, the content editors are going to handle specific subforums - rather than us working directly with every writer in each subforum to gather articles and spending a lot of time communicating and providing feedback, we'll have one go to guy - the content editor. This will simplify communication, and spread the workload so that we can focus on editorial tasks, as well as building out the frontpage structure and supporting the content editors in their role.
