Well with MicroCenter trying to give away the Q9950's. Should be able to put together a system for about 300 out of pocket dollars

Looking for a decent Intel P45 chipped RAID capable motherboard in the 100 dollar price range.

What I have minus the motherboard and processor.

2 250gig Segates in RAID-0
2 80gig Hitachi SATA II hard drives. 1 for scratch disk the other for cache (virtual memory) for Photoshop CS4.
2 other 80gig drives for storage 1 WD the other Hitachi
4gig's of RAM...2 G.Skill F-2's 2 Crucial Ballistix 1gig memory modules.
XFX 4870 video card. ATI 700 Series and one other card...Cannot remember
Lite-On burner.
Coolermaster 310 Elite case.

The only available power supply I have right now is a 400 watt Fortron Blue Storm.

Q9550. ;)

You plan on putting on 3 videocards (if not why mention?)

LOL...Nope...Not planning on using 3 video cards. I just have 3 possible cards.
Actually 4 cards. A XFX 4870, XFX 4890, ATI 8400 and a ATI 3450 (I think).

Since I only have a 400watt Fortron Blue Storm PSU probably have to buy a power supply if I choose to run either of the 4800 series XFX cards.

I was thinking maybe this Asus.

Thank you for the reply and the suggestion.

That would be cutting it a bit close, especially if you are overclocking, yes.

Oh I will not be overclocking this system...Just use it as a loaner box to some of the graphic, video guys I build and do work for.

These guys will just render video and do photoshop stuff...Guessing I will have to buy a power supply to run either of the 4800 series cards.

Since I live in Houston I will be buying the motherboard and psu if needed from Directron.

Was looking at what they have instock and will probably get this OCZ.

Cheap and should do the job with either of the 4800 series cards.
