NHRA Drag Racing/Motocross Madness + Win2k/XP

Has anyone been able to get a joystick to work with these games in Windows 2000/XP??
I have the Microsoft SideWinder Precision PRO (first one) and the Operating Sytem will pick up and calibrate the joystick fine...but when i try to use it in either game; NHRA/Moto it will NOT work...
I have e-mailed the *Tech Support*? about the problem, they have told me to make sure it is connected and in slot one...and it should work....:mad: HELLO! I told you the OS picks up the stick, but the game WONT!!
I was just curious if ANY of you hardcore gamers out there have been successful with ANY other joystick out there with these games...
There is NO other updated drivers for this joystick for 2K/XP, only Win9x...
FYI...THIS joystick works GREAT:burn: in WinME...not one problem.

i run a logitech momo wheel, that i use to play nhra main event, it installed fine and has been working fine, infact everly thing i have installed in xp works great, i also use a seitek game pad and it works fine to, i have seen probs when using a sidewinder wheel in xp, i havent seen anybody say the were able to fix the prob either. i wish i could be more of help, but everything i have installed in xp works great.

oh, forgot to tell you. i know in xp you can set things up to run in diffrent versions of windows, i havent tried it yet so i dont know how good it works, but you might give it a shot and see..
