HDD coolers...

im looking for a good hdd cooler under 50 bucks... i got those 3 fan ones and 1 craped out the other day, and it wasnt even 2 months old yet.. Lain li makes awesome hdd coolers, but there impossible to find, and the 2 places i found them wanted like 20+ shipping alone :(

Vantec's Ultimate Hard Drive Cooler is the best HDD cooler there is, it has two 40MM fans that are over 20MM thick! And a HUGE blue HSF.

Thats the one i've got and it works really well, the hard drive hardly gets warm. :D

well i haver the same thing w/o the big alum sink.. and i bought it from siderwinder, its a rip, i payed 40+ bucks and 1 allready doesnt work..
i got the new ibm 120gxp and i wanna keep her cool cuz ibm's hate heat :(

do u use the onboard temp prob on the hdd?

well i keep my hdd's in the 5.25" bays so they dont get any air flow.. and those crappy 20 dollar vantec coolers suck..

I also put mine in a bay, i've got 3 case fans - which keep down the case temp, never had any problems with the temp of the hard disk

That is the best!!!!!

The ultimate HDD cooler rocks!

Cooling with fans doesn't work very well you need a HSF to TRANSFER the heat away.

yea, but i have the fan model and one allready quite, if im gonna buy another one i want a better quailty one.. and ive heard this happening to others too, thats why im asking if anyone reckamends a better cooler..

I have This (http://www.directron.com/khd201.html) and also use the one Jester is selling they are both about equal in Quality

Now I'll have to look but theres a 3 drive cooler that takes 2 5.25" drive bays powered by one 80mm fan

I'm not sure where I saw it but I'll try to find it.

yea thats what i wanted LOL i totaly forgot.. i saw that one the screen savers and in my maxPC but i forgot to look for it online, i guess ill look after my nap, thanks for reminding me.. i think that will work awesomely..

I use this one on my PIII600 box and it is quiet and it works pretty good I think.It uses an 80mm.
