I'm going to have to side with ratbuddy, here. Downloading anything from a non-official source is asking for trouble. Why go to download.com or a similar site when you can get it direct from the manufacturer?

On that note, why does the Computer Science department at USM link to download.com for Dev-C++, Dev-Pascal, PuTTY, Pageant, WinSCP, etc.? You would think somebody in the CS department would have enough brains to link to the official download sites...

Well, in the case of Realtek, often download.com and others work better than the official site. Very rarely do I get more than 10-15K/Sec off the Realtek site, and pretty frequently it'll stall out completely, or just not work in the first place.

Anyhow, what's special about the 2.34 drivers that make them deserving of their own thread? Realtek releases new drivers every couple of weeks, and they never seem to change much. Is there something new in these, or what?
