well I proceeded to begin hacking my case..

I hafta wow it's slow progress...

my case is adamantium or something..

The regular cut off disks are a joke, my case eats one up in like 2 inches of cut...

the reinforced last better...

so far I've used to re-inforced and 2 normal ones..

I'm like 35% through...

I never realized how tuff and long it takes...

Hehe, that is about right. I use a dremel to cut out the fan vents and such, but real case cutting needs a hole saw or jig saw.

The dremel will work, but be prepared to keep changing those discs...

is there a hacksaw blade attachment for the Jig?

come to think of it I have a regular hack saw...

maybe I should put the blade through and re-assemble it and start hacking :p

Ahhhh *big grin*

I hate it when that happens. I had one case that was built like a Panzer tank :D The best I could do is let the disks do the cuting and try not to force them. I think this is the projct I discovered the dialmond cuting wheels. They last longer then the reinforced ones but cost more.

If the dremel can't handle the load, Go for a fine tooth jig saw blade. that will do the trick, but hold on to it good and be ready to get your contacts rattled out  And your arms and hands will probably go numb too form all the vibrations....it's a really cool feeling

yeah I saw those diamond bit's... I got 5 re-inforced for the price of a diamond...

and I never saw anyone mention it, so I avoided it..

and your right about letting the dremel to the work.. those 2 regular cut off disks weren't worn out, I kinda pushed too hard and they shattered hehe oops...

If you can get 5 of the reinforced wheels for the price of one dialmond wheel you made the right choice geting the reinforced ones. I've been trying to steal a dialmond wheel off ebay, not that I said that so will everyone else that reads this.

I'm sure if you check with your local tool store you'll find something for the jig saw. I know a fine tooth blade will work. They make ones for cuting sheet metal....Just ask my dad, I bent his all to hell cuting a case with it :D They work ok...like I said, You get rattled like crazy and your hands go numb. The dremel just makes cool sparks and as long as you go slow it will do the work for you.

One more tip...I like to use one of the oxide grinding stones to finish off my cuts. It will allow you to grind down the sharp edge and any burrs that are left over.

Have fun

lol.. thanx...

deffinately slow... being a full tower doesn't help...

I'm having to do it in stages... the loud screaming is only bareable for so long even with the music pumping...

still a toss up between molding or not tho...
