As far as I know, they're already out. it's just a matter of finding someone who carries them, or will order one for you.

It looks pretty cool, but does it work that well? I haven't heard many great things about the dragon orbs and the chrome orb I used for a little while on my 1900+ barely kept it under 50C....it sucked.

Anybody know if this will fit a socket 603 P4 xeon board?

eh?

Just click on the smiley :D (http://www.overclockers.com/articles523/). Small diff. on the copper slug & the thing to worry about is that on the Sunflower at least the base does not cover the P4 die completely.

They look neat but I'd still go with a Swift.

Oh, I meant a Swiftech heat sink. They're acknowledged as the best air cooling you can get. I have a MCX-462 on my xp 1800+ with an 80 watt peltier module and it keeps it cold. At Sidewinder Computers they sell all of Swiftech's stuff in their "Swiftech Store" (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/extremecooling.html). The helicoid pin HSs are the ones to get. The most expensive, but also the best. The MCX462 with the Pentium 4 mounting brackets would be the one for the P4.

Looking at that link, the graph of its performance cuts off at 60W. Heck, a non-overclocked XP1800 is 62W to start with. Like many of their products, they seem to invest a lot of design money into making something that looks sharp, but doesn't perform that well. I'm sure the people with the neon lights, plexiglass windows, colored cooling water, etc will love it....

o i c, well i kinda only need a good heatsink that will cool the northwood, how much heat does the AVC Sun blower take in?

i dunno if i wanna spend 72 bucks on that swiftech man. ill prolly get the avc sun blower if its cheapr.

the avc heatsink takes in 77.3 watts, what about the swiftech one do u kno? i didnt see it say anything on the website.

oh yeah and i dont want a whining delta :|
and the avc heatsink - it doesnt completely touch the die, but what if u shaved the copper a bit so that aluminum copper area would be flat and then it would touch the whole heatsink? that would increase the performance right?

oh yeah, and did anyone find it for sale, i looked where the review place gave i didnt find it and i searched google i didnt find a place where it sells it...
