one post on here says that amd is droping the xp prices so if no1 has heard of that steping u could either take it and find out how good it is or look around for one u know will be good and still get a decent price

well i see in the database someone got over 1600mhz..... and thats the only one.....

if u are looking for the best oc i would still say to stick with the 1600+ cpus and the agoga or agnga stepping theas seem to do very good

this is pure speculation on my part but:

notice the prgression in the steppings. AGKGA AGNGA. AGOGA These are the commonly known AG*GO steppings.

This fellow has seen a ARKGA. New 2nd letter AFAIK. Maybe a bigger "tweak" by AMD than the above sequence?? I dunno, I am just bored and guessing now...

hmmm maybe.... if it was then u could tell by the week it was made in i think because it would be very recent maskedgeek do u know what week it is??

do u mean agnga?? i got mine by luck :D it was the only one that the local computer store had so i took it and then read online and found out it was a really good stepping

I got a XP 1700+ AGKGA Y 0149 @ 1.76 GHz! They OC very good... I get i to boot Windows 98 SE @ 1.8 GHz but it´s unstable in 3D games and 3DMark 2001 :(

my 1900+ AGKGA is a horrible ocer. i can not hit 1.8 on 1.85vcore CPU and 2.85vcore RAM. Highest i can get and temps are in the sig.

my cpu is a AGKGA 1700+ had it up to 1700 not quite stable but 1680 stable, i cant wait for my fridge setup to be done, and im gonna be getting a good stepping 1600 soon

I just got it to 1702mhz(11.5x148)@1.85Vcore with PC133@cas3 :D...
No errors yet on Prime95

my 1700+ dont like 1.7ghz at all! i can almost reach it on regular watercooling (1680) and wich 2c chilled water i cant get any higher! it just wont budge! and its unlocked!!!

omg, that must suck man... I am telling you, the 1600+ AGOIA's are like a dream come true. I was up to 1.7 GHz stable for a few hours with a f---in dorb! I was playing some Swat3, and the full load temps were higher than I wanted it to be, so I floated back down t o1.6 GHz.

I'm gonna say this stepping is VERY good... At least I'm happy with mine... I'm at 1737mhz running Prime95 still no errors and UT without crashing...

-edit- Just crapped out at 1748mhz...
