Anyone know when the X58 will have SATA III ?

I'm trying to look for information about the new motherboards that ASUS & Gigabyte were going to release with USB 3.0 and SATA III. I guess its dead because I'm looking pretty hard and just seeing that they were canceled. I have an evga X58 SLI A1 now, and im debating on weather or not an upgrade is worth it.
