Tualatin 1.0A box Malay chip
First boot @1333 default vcore
Second boot @1400 vc1.675 rock stable
Idle 32C Full 38C
Third boot @1500 vc1.750 windows problems

I will post pictures soon
Sandra's benches show better performance than Athlon 1.4MP
((((((((( I am happy )))))))))))
I hope your using Sisoft Sandra 2002 it supports the CPU More.
Can you go 1.8v?
I use Sandra 2001 Pro
Yes i can go up to 1.8v...thats my upper setting
still unstable @1500 in windows
I'm testing memory settings now... cas2
Try 2002. It has better support for ram and cpu benchmark altogether etc.
One strange thing i noticed with this mobo is.....
....that allthough it has 1.825vc max....when i choose it.....
....it turns on auto !!!!

sweet. i hop to follow in your footsteps....:p
Nice benchmark maybe a burn-in will get you to 150fsb.
nice OC TASOS...was your chip a retail or OEM?
This chip must be a good one.
I did some burn-in for about 3-4 hours....and now i can coot
@1600 but with major stability problems.
I boot into windows for about 20sec..and then i have all kind of errors.
I believe i can make @1500 stable somehow.
This chip is a box 1.0A SL5ZF / Q143A386
TASOS...I ordered a retail chip also will post my results when it comes in
did you take the IHS off?

Many comps TASOS,
you've got really a great OC! ;)
I am still working on it.
My target is @1500 air cooled stable....and i am still burning-in
Untill now...i have noticed that the chip can work at default 1000MHZ even with 1.4vcore.
Also my main problem @1500 is that when i press restart in windows...the pc is shutting down and doesnt restart.
If i close the power switch and then power on again...it boots all the way.

TASOS, that is probably b/c, AFAIK, all i815 boards post with the processor default initially, then apply the BIOS Vcore setting. The Iwill has full BIOS voltage adjustment, yes? Try Wire-tricking your CPU to up the default Vcore, then it will use that Vcore from power-on. See if this helps with your restart issue...
Thanks
I have thought of that....and i'm going to vid-pin
after i do some more burn-in.
If i am correct..i get 1.675vc default...
:burn: i am side to side with an Athlon XP1600 in bench.

sweet...I cant wait till my chip comes in
MadMan007 is right....The resetting problem is common in all 815xx chipset mobo's. Vid pinning to trick the mobo into believeing your default vcore is actually higher than it is will fix the problem.

My wife's Celeron 1.0a hits 1430MHz stable at 1.675v.
I turned my Thunderbird down to 1430MHz for comparison. Maybe it is my high fsb and DDR memory, but the Tualatin didn't benchmark as fast or run games or apps as fast. Sure runs nice and cool, 40c under full load with only an FOP 38 and a YS-Tech 27CFM fan.
Winbench 99 cpu results
Celeron 1.0a@1430MHz, 143 x 10 - 124
T-bird 1000@1428MHz, 168 x 8.5 - 134

Try to run that Athlon 143*10=1430....and then compare the results with the Tually.

Well I thought about that, but one of the reasons I prefer Slot A DDR boards is because of the high fsb speeds. I kinda of think it was more accurate to take the complete overclocking deal into account, for AMD this means awesome memory performance. Intel multipliers are locked, so in the real world that is gonna mean a fsb disadvantage for the Celeron 1.Oa.

Yes,what you say its true.
But still if you want to make a fair comparison between those two
cpu's,then you have to use the same settings.
It will then be very clear that the Tually performs better.
Intel calls that,..."data prefetch"
P.S.
I am @1440....and moving up :burn:

I have to take off the case to to reach jumpers on the 8K7A to raise the multiplier, so when I get time I'll give it a shot. But data prefetch or no, remember two things, the Athlon has 128k of level 1 cache vs. 32k for the Tualeron, and it will be running on the double pumped fsb (286MHz vs. 143MHz), so I predict the score of the T-bird will drop from 134 to maybe 130-132, it will still win.

Well i still dont think that with the same settings the Athlon can have better performance.
Can you post some pictures of Sandra 2002 benches?
Even running Athlon @1428 (168x8.5)

I have Sandra 2001 that I can use. But you will have to tell me how to post a picture of Sandra including how to get the screen shot. I am totally ignorant of anything to do with HTML codes.

Well i am no expert in this area..but i'll tell you how i do it.
You do the bench==>Ctrl+PrintScreen==>Paint or someother applikation==>Ctrl+V==>Save picture. (Max resolution 600x600)
Finally you attach the image to your post.

I guess I'm a ******, I couldn't figure it out. But both the Celeron 1.0a and the T-bird at 1420MHz scored almost exactly the same on Sandra 2001, 4000/2000. But using the memory benchmark the Celeron on a 815EP schipset scored 485/512 while the T-bird on a 761 chipset got 795/965.
